PittServes Be a Good Neighbor Day 2017

You are invited to join over 400 student volunteers for the PittServes annual Be a Good Neighbor Day service project on April 1 from 9am- 3pm. 

During this service day, you will be able to serve with a variety of community organizations that focus on serving diverse populations. You will also have the chance to reflect on your service as it relates to inclusion and diversity in our community.

Day-of Logistics:

Saturday April 1

ALL Students must report to the William Pitt Union BALLROOM by 9am for a on time bus departure at 9:30am.

  • Servce on-site  10am-1pm
  • Return to campus 1:45pm
  • On-campus lunch & reflection 2pm-3pm

Project Leaders ONLY: You will receive additional communications to confirm the site address/location and site supervisor, as well as contact information for your project coordinator.

Attire (All Volunteers): Please dress in comfortable clothes, and in layers, with sturdy footwear for outdoor projects. Projects are on a "rain or shine" basis, but we are hoping for good weather! An event T-shirt and other necessary supplies will be provided.

Food: A light breakfast will provided in the assembly room prior to departing for project from 9am- 9:25am. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers on campus during the reflection portion (2pm-3pm).  Please bring your own water bottle as water will not be provided for you.

Transportation: Transportation will be provided for off campus service projects. Buses will leave from the university at 9:30 a.m. sharp. Students will serve from 10am-1pm with a return to campus at 1:45pm.
