Pitsburgh King PreK-8 Coomunity and School

Pittsburgh King PreK-8 is a neighborhood school located in Pittsburgh's North Side community. We believe that at the heart of the transformation of Pittsburgh King is a shared commitment to and relentless pursuit of racial equity. In order to achieve racial equity, we must create a culture of high expectations for all, and work together to ensure exposure to high quality instruction for every student, in every classroom, every day. Through this transformation, we will ensure 100% of our students enter high school promise ready. As a Title I school, Pittsburgh King benefits from additional resources that support our students in the areas of reading and math. The teachers and students at Pittsburgh King also have access to computer labs, mobile labs, digital visual projectors and a distance-learning lab to enhance the learning experience of all students. The motto for our students is “Learn More, Do More and Become More” and it is through this motto that we strive to create a culture of high expectations where all students are encouraged to strive for excellence both academically and behaviorally.
