Office of Community Affairs

Snow Angels connects older adult and disabled residents of the City with volunteer neighbors who live near them who will come shovel and salt their walkways after it snows of freezes. Both volunteers and recipients sign up through the Office of Community Affairs and are matched by our program managers. Our office manages the program including recruitment of volunteers through creative and traditional means, matching folks who need assistance with nearby volunteers, arranging logistics with recipients and volunteers, communicating with volunteers when we anticipate a snow event and ongoing communication with un-matched volunteers and recipients.
