Network of Hope: Summer Feeding Program Ambridge

The Network of Hope aims to provide children free nutritious meals for 10 Saturdays during summer vacation (June 17- August 19). The Summer Feeding Program (SFP) will provide meaningful and engaging programming for children, in addition to meals. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) funds the Summer Food Program in the State of Pennsylvania. All children 18 years of age and under can receive free meals at the Allison Park Church Ambridge site. The YMCA will serve as the sponsor of this program, acting as our administrative liaison to The Department of Eduction. The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will provide technical assistance and resources. The Allison Park Church Ambridge Campus will serve as a "site" of the SFP to serve the more than 50% of children are economically disadvantaged and are experiencing the "summer meal gap."
