DOORS OPEN Pittsburgh believes that everyone should be able to see and experience the beauty in our city. 

So we celebrate Pittsburgh’s unique heritage, architecture and design by providing behind-the scenes access, visual storytelling, or just the opportunity to explore INSIDE a diverse collection of iconic and newly designed buildings in the neighborhoods of the City of Pittsburgh.

We do this with the help of hundreds of DOORS OPEN Pittsburgh volunteers who welcome Pittsburghers, and anyone visiting, to come inside the iconic and newly designed buildings of our city to hear the stories they tell us about our past, present, and future during an annual event in October.

We also offer “Special Themed Tours” outside of the annual event, which open the doors to interesting spaces across city neighborhoods for purposes of continuing the story of “communities” that have made, and continue to make Pittsburgh the ever-evolving city it is!
