Organization Profile

Pitt Legal Income Sharing Foundation

https://plisf.org/index.html

Founded by students at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, PLISF is a student-run 501(c)(3) organization established to raise awareness of the needs and opportunities for public interest work in the legal profession. PLISF is committed to supporting law students who accept public interest summer internships. These internships are typically unpaid, and PLISF believes a student should not accept a position they truly want for lack of financing options. Throughout the year, PLISF fundraises to provide scholarships to students taking public interest internship positions. PLISF also holds events, coordinates volunteer opportunities, and advertises job openings to support and promote student interest and practice in public interest law.
